Tuition $1,600 per person for a minimum group size of 10 participants.

Tuition covers:
Bus transportation from Guatemala City to Quetzaltenango. Homestay with a Guatemalan family, 2 or 3 students per family (each student will have his/her own room). Family will provide 3 meals a day, weekdays. Daily social and cultural activities, including cooking and weaving demonstrations, chocolate making demonstration, and volunteer work.
5 hours of Spanish instruction, 5 days per week, small groups (2-3 students per teacher), travel insurance.

Excursions:
Lake Atitlan
Transportation from Guatemala to Lake Atitlan (Panajachel). Hotel in Panajachel, 2 students per room (please ask Casa Xelaju if you would like a private room for an extra charge). Boat excursion across Lake Atitlan. Sunday breakfast. Bus transportation from Panajachel to Quetzaltenango.
IRTRA and Takalik Abaj
Transportation and entrance fees to Xocomil water park and Takalik Abaj ruins. Tour guide, Sunday breakfast, and transportation. Hotel at IRTRA, 2 students per room (please ask Casa Xelaju if you would like a private room for an extra charge).
Antigua
Transportation from Quetzaltenango to Antigua. Hotel in Antigua, 2 students per room (please ask Casa Xelaju if you would like a private room for an extra charge). Sunday breakfast. Bus transportation from Antigua, Guatemala to the airport in Guatemala City.

Health and evacuation insurance.
Hotel tax, internet access at Casa Xelaju office, tour guides.

What is NOT included:
Airfare is not part of the tuition.***
Transportation from your house to the airport.
Transportation from the airport to your house.
Individual weaving lessons, ask in the office for prices.
Any meals other than breakfast during excursions.
Trip cancellation insurance.
Fees for obtaining legal travel documents. -passport-
Tips for guides.
Excess baggage charges.
Expenses caused by airline or motor coach scheduling or delay.
Long-distance or international telephone calls.
First-class hotels (hotels will be clean, safe yet basic accommodations with private or, in some cases, shared baths).

You may also make your own travel arrangements for these same dates and you will be picked up at the airport by a member of the Casa Xelaju staff. Please keep in mind to arrive at noon on Sunday.

Payments:
All payments should be made to Casa Xelaju by check. Casa Xelaju is unable to accept payments by credit card.

Your payments are as follows:
$500.00 deposit is due when you submit your application, deadline January 30, 2010.
$500.00 April 28
$600.00 is due by June 8
