Casa Xelaju offers the most intensive one-on-one instruction test preparation for Texas Oral Proficiency Test at its school located in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Teachers who enroll in our test reparation will receive 5 hours of instruction daily, 5 days a week. As part of the immersion test preparation, teachers will live with a Guatemalan family. Living with a Guatemalan family will enhance the speed at which teachers will master the language and understand the oral communication, a key component of the test.

This course will be taught 100% in Spanish. The purpose will be to increase accuracy, pronunciation, pace and fluency in Spanish. Another aspect of the course is the increase of vocabulary and improving the grammatical structures that might be on the TOPT. Our Spanish teacher will organize discussions, oral presentations and grammar reviews at the level required by the ACTFL guidelines.

It is highly recommend that teachers take at least 2 weeks of intensive Spanish test preparation. These two weeks will dramatically increase the possibilities that the teacher taking the TOPT will obtain a high score in the oral interview.

It is a good idea to take the TOPT right after our test preparation.

This test preparation is offered year-round. Classes start on any Monday.
